Welcome to our website! Let's start by introducing ourselves... We are Dave & Charlotte. We're photographers. Our passion is photographing the relationships between people just like you. We call this lifestyle photography. Often people arrive on our blog looking for wedding photography in Toronto or surrounding area, but we also take on destination weddings around the world. Over the past couple of years we have photographed weddings in places as remote as Australia, India, Mexico, England, Barbados, Jamaica, Puerto Rico to events closer to home, like Montreal, New York and The Muskokas.
If you're newly engaged and in search of two fun loving, easy going wedding photographers, we're sure you'll love viewing our engagement & wedding photography portfolios. If you like what you see and want to find out more, please drop us a line and we'll be happy to answer any questions you have.
Have you ever noticed that no matter how chilly the weather or how piled high the snow is outside, something as simple as a bouquet of flowers can make it all better. I don’t know if it’s the intoxication of fresh fragrance or if it’s the luscious burst of colour against an otherwise drab Toronto backdrop, but flowers really make us… well… cheery! I think we’re all entitled to a little cheer this time of year, don’t you? Why should anyone have to wait for an anniversary or their wedding day for that?!
When Tayna and Amy were looking for some promo shots of their shop we were excited to come by and say hello. From the moment we walked into their gorgeous little flower boutique, Pink Twig on College, we felt like we had been carried off to a summers day. With gorgeous orchids, roses, peonies, hydrangeas, and many other fragrant flowers surrounding us, suddenly the winter blahs left us for a while.
Pink Twig is definitely one of our favourite florists in Toronto and we love to use their stunning bouquets and arrangements for our Wedding Photography Workshops. Tanya and Amy even have a few of our workshop images up on their walls . Since we’ve used Pink Twig so many times and they always create the best original and modern floral designs for us, we decided it was payback time! We designed a gorgeous flushmount leather album for them with some of our favourite wedding photography workshop images! We were sure to keep it consistent with Pink Twigs brand. Check it out below…
Thanks Tanya and Amy for being by our side and always being so helpful with all of our floral needs. You are both artists and truly amazing at what you do. We’ll be sure to stop by your flower shop for a little piece of summertime very soon!!
We’ve been back from Melissa and Sean’s GORGEOUS wedding in beautiful St. Thomas, Virgin Islands for about a week now. We’re catching up with all that’s been happening around snowy Toronto and have lots of blogging to do! Thank goodness we have so many great destination weddings this year and get to photograph our couples in so many exotic locales… Burrrr, it sure was freezing when we got home.

We were staying in Miami for one night before boarding the cruise ship and could not pass up an evening out in fabulous South Beach with friends Alex and Hazel from Hazel R Photography! We met Alex and Hazel last year while modeling in Paris at Jerry Ghionis’ Wedding Photography Workshop. We hit it off immediately and had so much fun checking out the sites while shooting with Jerry. Some pro photographers may recognize Hazel from the cover of this months Rangefinder Magazine! As always, Hazel looks beautiful
The streets of South Beach were buzzing! Not only was it a Friday night but it was also the Super Bowl weekend. So many tourists filled the strip and everyone was partying and having a great time.Who knew that having this much fun was illegal in Miami?!? Hmm, maybe it had to do with the amazing Mojito’s we had.
No, this is not Miami Ink, lol! But we had a great time cruising the streets and checking out all of the shops and South Beach locals.
We ended the evening with a lovely dinner and a quick tour past some celebs homes… Jennifer Lopez’s house is sooooo gorgeous with a sweet parking spot out front for her yacht!! We really loved spending time with you both and next time we’ll do it T.O. style… nah… I say let’s go back to South Beach Thanks so much for showing us the sites and making our night on the town so memorable. Miss you guys!!
March 4, 2010 - 3:22 pmHazel & Alex - Hi Guys, awe it was with sad warning that you were only here for one day. But please promise to visit again and stay for longer. The mojitos definitely were very good and the company was the best! Lets stay in touch...with love Hazel & Alex xoxo<3
February 27, 2010 - 7:40 amJill - Great photos you guys! You all look like you're having fun... very relaxed.
We love it when there is a knock at the door and the FedEx guy hands us a box. It feels like we’re little kids at Christmas with such a feeling of excitement and mystery, what could it be this time… a wedding album… an engagement album? We get to see our amazing clients dream albums become a reality and all of our hard work and design come to life. We feel so incredibly lucky that we have the ability to supply our couples with some of the most gorgeous wedding and engagement albums in the world! We absolutely LOVE our album company – The Amazing Finao – and so do our clients. We were on the look out while at WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) in Vegas last year, for a company to provide the high level of quality we dream about. It was sooo amazing that we actually found an album maker that has everything we were hoping for and a great turn around time to boot!
While looking for an album supplier there were a few must have things on our check list… 1) Our albums had to be unlike anything else that was on the market 2) The quality had to be second to none 3) The print quality had to be stunningly gorgeous 4) They had to be durable. Will it last the test of time? Last but not least 5) Are they ‘GREEN’ and socially responsible like us? Do they care about the Earth??
Another thing we love are the colours, textures, patterns, various wedding and engagement album sizes and designs we can select from to really add that personal touch for our clients. This pressed leather (also available in faux leathers) pattern below is so stunning and feels soooo luxurious in your hands… We love it!! It’s buttery soft!
We have so many options for cover designs and we encourage our clients to get creative and have fun with their album covers. Sara and Hami (below) have the same cover design for their wedding album but the red and black are reversed so there is a red cover with a black stripe! Pretty cool eh? It will look great in their home on a book shelf or coffee table.
We love the fact that our albums have smooth rounded corners! This is something that is really unique and adds that extra little bit of quality and care you don’t commonly see everyday!
The wedding and engagement album bindings are so well made, you can see that these books truly are priceless heirlooms that can be passed along to generations. That really makes us have a lot of confidence in the products we are providing to our couples.
Our gorgeous professionally retouched prints are bound to our flush mount albums flawlessly, so the image is never compromised or interrupted. Because our albums are made of a high quality card stock the pages don’t bend, tear or warp. They’ll look as beautiful today as they will in years to come!! If you’d like to check out some more samples of our designs check out our sister company Rainbow Eleven as well!!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog to take a peek at what we’re doing around here… We’ve been shooting some gorgeous weddings lately and have lots great stuff still to blog! Thank goodness we leave tomorrow for a week on a fabulous Caribbean cruise. It’s freezing here in Toronto and we need a bit of time in the sun to re-charge, get inspired and scare away the winter blahhhs! See you all next week with hopefully a tan (not a burn)!
