A Stunning Muskoka Bay Wedding

Charlotte and I are loving our Summer in Canada. We’re now officially living and endless Summer, hopping back and forwards between our homes in Perth, Australia and Toronto.

This year has seen so many absolutely amazing weddings, and we can’t wait to share them all with you… As a teaser we’d like to show you the recent wedding of Adam and Meghan at Muskoka Bay Club. You may remember these guys did a vintage engagement shoot at the King Edward Hotel in Toronto.. It got picked up by a couple of cool wedding blogs too (Toronto wedding Society & The Wedding Co)

What I love about Meghan & Adam’s wedding is not only are they a sweet, relaxed, easy going couple who are so obviously in love, but their also had some pretty cute vintage details and a lot of hand made elements to their day.

The slide show you’re about to watch is a Same Day Slideshow, which we put together and present during the reception.

For those of you that enjoy perusing details of the day, check out the cluster below.

Meghan had the most amazing wedding gown. Isn’t the vintage lace detailing incredible.

I absolutely love this shot of one of the flower girls in awe of Meghan looking like a princess 🙂

Adam didn’t look too shabby himself. Nothing beats a custom fitted suit.

As Meghan walked into the room, Adam’s face lit up. His expression says so much!

The ceremony room at Muskoka Bay Club has the most beautiful reflected light pouring into it. Love how soft it looks.

Meghan tells me that this next shot is her favourite from the day – I’d have to say I agree. It’s these little stolen moments together than you really remember from your wedding day.

Magic light. Awesome.

More amazing hand made details of their wedding… loving how tactile everything is… note the chalk board table placements and wild flower centre pieces.

What way to finish off the perfect day than a first dance by sparkler light. Congrats on an amazing wedding guys.

Jay & Audrey’s Muskoka Wedding & Fusion Video

Welcome! First things first, we’d like to share this awesome fusion video…

Charlotte and I have recently begun adding video footage created on our 5D MkIIs to the coverage we provide to our clients… So we’re pleased to share the first sample of fusion video to you all. In future videos we’ll also be integrating the audio from the ceremony and speeches… can’t wait to see how this new product evolves… I certainly see huge potential for creating even more emotionally charged wedding day stories for our wonderful clients.

Speaking of awesome clients… haha – do you like that segway?! Jay and Audrey, like many couples, they met during their studies at Queens University, and fell in love with one another – and believe me, it’s obvious that their love runs deep.

Their wedding was held at Taboo Resort in scenic Muskoka. Needless to say, the weather was perfect, slightly overcast and a mild 28 degrees with a bit of sunshine every so often – absolutely perfect conditions for an outdoor ceremony in the woods. Now you may have already watched the video we posted above, but if not, please enjoy the photos below.

Isn’t Audrey stunning? And check out her awesome Melissa Sweet Gown! Beautiful.

Details of the day… Aren’t these “Bride” flip flops adorable? Add the sexy shoes, a fresh boquet and one very sparkly engagement ring/wedding cup cake and you’ve got some great wedding day details.

And check out the funloving, gorgeous bridesmaids.. they kept Audrey laughing all day.

I’m loving these shots of Audrey… She was such a chilled out bride. We shot this beautiful soft portrait with our glorious 50mm f1.2. Buttery eh?

There’s often a beautiful moment shared with sons and daughters see their parents before the ceremony. Jay’s mum was just so sweet when she was tearing up just before they went down the asile.

Jay hilariously smashed the glass a little too eagerly – just one of those things that make for great little moments on a wedding day!

And here come the sweetest newly weds…

Jay and Audrey had some sweet props for their wedding party. Rockin’ it gang. Haha- Totally awesome!!

Their reception was held in the Boathouse, with panoramic views looking west over the lake. The dance floor was packed most of the night, and the energy was high.

During the reception, we were lucky enough to be able to sneak the bride and groom off for a 15 minute photo session.. I’m sure you’ll agree that these were some of the most romantic photogrpahs from the wedding day.

The reception concluded with some very touching and sometimes tearful speaches and a wonderful first dance.
