We’re now BullFrog Powered!

Dave and I are thrilled to announce that we have officially turned “100% Green”. Not to worry everyone, it’s not the aftermath of another Lake Ontario engagement shoot… We’ve just become carbon-neutral!!! We’ve signed up with a really great company, Bullfrog Power, it’s a leading provider of 100% green electricity to help soften our carbon footprint!

You may be wondering how much could two photographers really contribute…well we do shoot a lot of weddings and this takes us all around the globe. This year alone we have destination weddings in Jamaica, Barbados, Hong Kong, Australia and Mexico ~Phew!! And not to mention all of the fabulous workshops and trade shows we go to-to stay on top of our game! With travel like that we definitely want to do our part to reduce our impact on the environment. We always fly carbon neutral and do everything we can to support locally grown food & businesses with similar green policies. For example, we host our websites with Host Papa, a very Earth friendly company with a great big green heart.

Aside from all of the other things we do to stay environmentally friendly like recycling almost everything and being energy conscious we thought that Bullfrog Power would be the key for us to really make a difference.  Carbon offsetting is an easy way to do your part to help fight climate change and create a healthier environment for us and future generations. That’s why more and more businesses are “leaping” into Bullfrog Power. You may have seen the Bullfrog Power symbol out and about town, some major players are on board like TD Bank, World Wildlife Federation (WWF), Whole Foods and Adobe, the makers of PhotoShop.

Dave and I are super-stoked to say our power comes from clean, emissions-free sources like wind and low-impact water power instead of carbon-intensive sources like coal and oil. Everyone should check out the program and get on board.

If you’re having a wedding or special event, why not make it Bullfrog Powered. Bullfrog will inject green power into the electricity grid to match the amount of watts used by your event. If you’d like to Bullfrog your wedding contact marketing{at}bullfrogpower.com  Let’s combat climate change together…who says it ain’t easy bein’ green?!… ribbit.

Sharkwater a must see film

Dave and I have a deep love and respect for nature and the underwater world. Dave’s (an avid scuba diver) originally from Perth, Australia and is very familiar with aquatic life. Quite often our Destination Weddings take us to tropical locations so we have had the chance to fall in love with all of the breathtaking beauty of the Ocean. While in Jamaica 2 weeks ago we loved exploring the aqua blue waters for tropical fish and Dave and I even saw a baby Sting Ray…so cute!

Last night Dave and I watched a great documentary Sharkwater, by fellow Canadian and filmmaker Rob Stewart. Sharkwater hopes to reverse the way the media has portrayed sharks and give people information and the tools they need to see Sharks as an essential part of our Eco System.

Happy Earth Week!

We love, love, love our Destination Weddings and they keep Dave and I traveling the globe. This site ZeroFootprint.net is great and is one of the companies we use to soften our carbon footprint.

Another site we love is the

AL Gore videos11th hour cover

Dave and I just finished watching The 11th Hour. Wow, that’s another eye opener. Narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, this film gives us another warning that we need to make changes right NOW or suffer the consequences of serious irreversible harm to our planet.
